Über Gigandes
Die Mechanik des horizontalen Schießens definiert das Fortschrittssystem dieses Titels. Während das Sterben es dem Spieler ermöglicht, während eines einzigen Durchlaufs alle aktuellen Waffen und Power-Ups zu behalten, wird zu Beginn jeder neuen Stufe die gesamte Ausrüstung auf die Standardwerte zurückgesetzt. Dadurch entsteht ein Zyklus des Kraftaufbaus innerhalb der Levels, während bei Levelübergängen ein Totalverlust droht.
